The Leica CM 3000 cryostat is a heavy-duty research grade versatile cryosectioning system that is designed to meet a broad range sectioning requirements. The CM 3000 is a truly modular cryostat that features motorized flywheel, motorized specimen advance and retract, dual temperature control for the cabinet and the specimen, adjustable cutting window, modular design, programmable trimming, 2045 C stainless steel rotary microtome, highly sophisticated standard electronics and engineering, sectioning thickness of 0.5-60 microns, specimen temperature control down to -55 degrees C, and three sectioning modes. Cooling is via two separate refrigeration systems. An actively cooled quick freezing shelf cools to -45 degree C. Specifications include a 30um horizontal specimen feed, 60um vertical specimen stroke, 220um specimen retraction, 8-degree specimen precision orientation (x/y/z axis), 5 to 150um trimming in steps of 5, 10, 30, 50, 100, & 150um, motorized coarse feed at two speeds: 150um/s and 1,000um/s, cutting speed ranges: 0.1mm/s to 170mm/s and 0.1mm/s to 100mm/s. Cryocabinet dimensions are 35"w x 30"d x 41"h (882mm x 766mm x 1040mm), weight is 397 lb (180kg). Power requirement is 208V. Manufactured according to VDE/UL standards.
