Leica CM1900 Cryostat

This cryostat has two separate cooling systems (double compressor); cryochamber down to -35°C and specimen temperature down to -50°C. The specimen cooling feature allows the operator to maintain the specimen at colder temperatures than the cryochamber to facilitate sectioning of fatty specimens. Comes with 2040 microtome. Section thickness settings from 1 to 60um. Programmable automatic hot gas defrost function for the condenser coils in the cryochamber and the specimen head. 2 Speed motorized coarse feed moves specimen toward or away from knife quickly. The slower forward speed used in conjunction with a rocking motion of the handwheel permits the operator to quickly trim away excess OCT and achieve full face of the specimen with ease. Self-explanatory single function keys with an easy to read LED display prevents operating errors. Optional 90° prism head mounts on the specimen head for quick freezing specimens in place. The microtome is encapsulated which prevents it from becoming contaminated with section debris.
