The HNU PI-52 Controller is an add on PID detector
adaptable for most benchtop gas chromatographs.
Operates at temperatures up to 300 degree C which
gives the detector a higher range of detectable
compounds. The lower limits of detection are 10 to
100 times better than those of an FID. The PID is a
non-destructive detector and may be put in series
with another detector. Utilizes a standard HNU 10.2
or 11.7 PID lamp. PID lamps are sold separately (PID

The O.I. Model 5240 is a tandem PID and ELCD detector
for the HP 5890 Series gas chromatographs. Enhanced
capillary performance is gained by mounting the
detectors together. This minimizes dead volume and
interfacing between the detectors. The PID uses the
ELCD reaction gas as a sweep gas and allows the
column bakeout from the PID and ELCD to be vented.
Eliminates transfer lines and uses only one detector
